Emily Melville – Writer, Researcher, ESL Teacher
Hello, I’m Emily Melville, an English teacher from Oxford, U.K. Since doing my CELTA back in 2014, I have worked with students of all ages and levels from all over the world.
My teaching career has taken me to new places, including a brief teaching stint in the UAE and, most recently, in 2019, to the south of Spain, where I still reside.
Over the past year, I have also delved into the materials creation side of teaching, which has been a fantastic and exciting way to showcase my skills and experience as a teacher and create engaging and helpful material for fellow teachers and students to use in the classroom.
Alongside teaching, I also completed my bachelor’s degree in Language Studies, focusing on English’s history, grammar, and sociocultural aspects while studying Spanish as a foreign language.
I wouldn’t have learned the things I did without the support of fellow teachers who openly shared their best ideas, methods, and wisdom, and I am looking forward to being able to return the favor.
